MORNING POWERHOUSE BEAUTY SHAKE

If you’re looking for an easy way to start your day with a breakfast packed full of nutrients…this recipe is for you.

The key to eating well often can be found in routines.

Our minds are hardwired to seek out what we know.

And what we know is rooted in what is familiar and what we tend to do over and over again.

So if you want to start your day off incredibly well then look no further than my Morning Powerhouse Shake which you can drink regularly.

I drink this shake Monday through Friday and sometimes on Saturday and I have been drinking this since 2014. I drank it all through my pregnancy in 2017.

There is something to be said about starting your day off with a nutrient dense meal.

WILD BLUEBERRIES

Wild blueberries are an antioxidant superfruit. Did you know that. wild blueberries contain more of the powerful antioxidant anthocyanin and demonstrate greater antioxidant capacity per serving than typical blueberries. And Wild Blueberries have a more intense taste.. You can find wild blueberries in your freezer section. I buy Wyman’s Organic Wild Blueberries.

FILTERED WATER

It was important for me to find a water source that did not contain fluoride. I searched high and low and found Mountain Valley Spring Water which we have delivered to our home. Rising naturally from a spring in the Ouachita mountains, Mountain Valley Spring Water filters through organized based aquifers. This brand of water is not only fluoride free but is sodium-free with a naturally balanced PH and rich blend of calcium, magnesium and potassium.

Spirulina is a blue-green algae that is  high in protein, vitamins and minerals. Spirulina contains up to 70% digestible, complete protein, high levels of iron, beta carotene, and other healthful nutrients including B12, vitamin K, chlorophyll, and phycocyanin.  I buy Nutrex Pure Hawaiian Spirulina Powder.

Collagen Peptides are high in protein  Collagen is the vital building block of our bodies including skin, hair, nails, bones, and joints

HEMP HEARTS

Hemp Hearts are high in Omega 3 fatty acids, they are a great source of protein and they have fiber which aids in digestion.

Notes
I use the Vitamix blender to make this and LOVE it. It’s a hefty expense but considering I use it 5-6 days a week I find it to be worthwhile investment.

The spirulina will turn your shake from a beautiful green to a black/grey. Don’t let the color deter you...it tastes amazing. Some people find the taste is strong off the bat. If this is the case for you start with a half a teaspoon and work your way up

I am recommending certain products here because I use them and love them. I am not an affiliate of any of the brands or products I recommend.
